Paygent.ai Launches Founder-Led Transparency Platform to Bring Clarity for Small Business Payment Processing
Tampa, FL — Paygent.ai today announced the official launch of its payment transparency platform designed to help small and mid-sized businesses understand and confidently navigate credit card processing costs.
While payment processing is one of the largest operational expenses for small businesses, many owners struggle to interpret complex statements, identify processor markups, and determine whether their pricing is competitive. Complexity has outpaced transparency across the industry, often leaving small businesses structurally disadvantaged in negotiations and decision-making.
Founded by payments industry operator Krystal Little, Paygent.ai was built to rebalance that equation.
Little previously served as Chief of Staff at Stax, one of the fastest-growing payments companies in the United States, and led Revenue Operations at Finix, where she worked closely with pricing models, margin structures, and transaction-level economics. Through years inside high-growth payments organizations, she observed a consistent pattern: merchants often do not lack intelligence — they lack visibility.
“I’ve seen how this works from the inside,” said Little, Founder and CEO of Paygent.ai. “Fees exist for a reason. Infrastructure costs money. But clarity hasn’t kept pace with complexity. Small businesses are making critical financial decisions without being given a clear view of what they’re actually paying.”
Paygent.ai addresses this gap through two core offerings at launch:
- A Processor Wizard that delivers customized, ranked recommendations based on a business’s profile and needs
- Human-reviewed Processing Audits that break down merchant statements in plain English, separating interchange, network fees, and processor markups
Unlike traditional comparison sites or processor marketplaces, Paygent does not process payments and does not sell transaction data. The platform operates as an independent guide, helping business owners understand their current costs before making pricing decisions.
“The industry often relies on the assumption that if a customer doesn’t leave, the pricing must be acceptable,” Little said. “But many small business owners simply don’t have the time or technical knowledge to fully analyze their statements. Paygent exists to give them that clarity — without pressure, without hidden incentives, and without selling their data.”
The platform also introduces opt-in introductions to transparency-aligned processor partners. When a business requests an introduction, Paygent shares only the contact information the user chooses to provide. No transaction data is sold or transferred.
Looking ahead, Paygent plans to expand its capabilities to include AI-assisted instant statement analysis and a “Paygent Verified” designation for processors who commit to real-time data transparency standards.
“We’re not trying to eliminate fees,” Little added. “We’re normalizing transparency. When business owners can see clearly, they can negotiate confidently, choose intentionally, and protect their margins.”
Paygent.ai is now available nationwide.
